DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION : MENU DESIGN

Hello everyone and happy 2021! Hope all is well and you have survived the first month of the year, let’s hope this one is a bit better!

I have been loving creating digital illustrations, as you would see if you follow my Instagram as that is all that has been on feed recently. I was approached by a lovely friend of mine to create/design a new for a cafe! BBF cafe is located in Woy Woy, Central Coast, and they have revamped their menu with some new items and they were wanting a new look and design for their full menu. A native plant boarder was requested, and of course I was excited to create, along with a bunch of little food and drink illustrations! Obviously I am still quite new to drawing on my iPad but I LOVE experimenting and playing around with Procreate so I was so excited to get designing!

The boarder was first, where I created a couple of simple native plant designs and use the colour palette of the cafe! It turned out great and works really well with the overall text and layout. Then came all the food and drinks illustrations, which was something very new for me, a bit out of my comfort zone but I believe I successfully created some beautiful little drawings! I used the cafe’s Instagram and website for inspiration and guidance to create drawing that were accurate to what the food and drink actually look like. Overall the menu looks so great and I am so so happy with it! Definitely let me know what you think and if you visit the cafe and see it in person!
